2025-26 Spartanburg School District Two Teacher of the Year is Amanda Clark from Oakland Elementary!
Congratulations to our 2025-26 Spartanburg School District 2 Teacher of the Year Amanda Clark from Oakland Elementary School!
Mrs. Clark is currently the literacy coach at OES. Last year she taught 5th grade.
"I felt very humbled," Clark said of hearing her named called as the teacher of the year. "There were so many great teachers that were up there going for exactly for the same thing."
Mrs. Clark received the recognition at our Welcome Back Convocation. Thanks to our community partners at Thompson Turner construction, she also received a check for $4,500 at the event.
"Being on this team, I feel like we are here for the same reason and the same goal, to put students first each day," she said.
Having been an educator for the last 15 years, Mrs. Clark also took the opportunity on this special day to encourage others to consider becoming teachers.
"You have to have a love of students. You often have to remind yourself of your "why". Why you are here. You are here to be that difference maker for them," Clark said. "You are here to be that smiling face they see every day when they walk in." #D2DifferenceMakers
