Teaching Certification Renewal
For teachers with a Professional Certificate, the responsibility for maintaining certificate renewal documentation with regard to the teacher’s staff development plan rests with the employee. Details are listed in the Spartanburg District Two Certificate Renewal Guidelines Notebook under the Instructional Services Department.
Certification Advancement
License Advancement (including add on certifications) must be submitted and processed directly through the SC Dept. of Education. The SCDE Change Action Form will need to submitted along with supporting documentation. Once the SCDE has completed this process it is the responsibility of the certified employee to notify the HR Department of the advancement.
