A Message from Our Superintendent...

It is a privilege to join you as Superintendent of Spartanburg School District Two. From my very first interactions here, I have felt the warmth, pride, and commitment that define this district. Spartanburg Two is a thriving, growing community where students are supported, challenged, and inspired each day. I am honored to help continue that tradition.

As a district, our shared mission is clear: to serve students by empowering them to realize their maximum potential while engaging in rigorous, relevant, real-world learning opportunities within a caring, collaborative, and creative environment. This mission resonates deeply with my own belief that student success, whatever form it may take, is the ultimate goal of our work.

Equally important is our shared vision—to be the premier school district in which to live and learn, ensuring that all students are prepared for life’s opportunities by providing a safe and positive culture with excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. We will provide each student with the tools they need to succeed in these areas, and we will ensure they have a safe environment in which to do it.

To guide my leadership, I focus on four pillars that I believe are essential for student and district success:

• Community – building strong, collaborative partnerships between schools, families, and the greater Spartanburg Two community.
• Understanding Our Students – ensuring we see every student as an individual with unique strengths, needs, and goals.
• Technology Tools – providing innovative resources that empower learning, creativity, and problem solving.
• Weather the Storms – preparing for and persevering through challenges, whether expected or unexpected, with resilience and focus on what is best for students.

In Spartanburg Two, we expect our learners to rise to the highest standards outlined in the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate. This means mastering world-class knowledge, demonstrating world-class skills, and embodying the life and career characteristics, such as integrity, perseverance, and a global perspective, that prepare them for success in a complex, ever-changing world.

Together, as families, educators, and community members, we will continue to Inspire Today and Transform Tomorrow for every student who walks through our doors. I feel blessed to serve this incredible district, and I look forward to the great things we will accomplish together.
