Parent Technology Information

Student Devices

All students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are issued an individual device for learning.

  • Elementary: Students in grades Kindergarten through 5th are issued an iPad.  Students in grades 2-5 have a Logitech Rugged Combo case that includes a keyboard.
  • Middle and High: All students are issued an HP Chromebook with case.

Repairs: In instances where devices need to be repaired, parents or students may drop the device off at the school. Unfortunately, the district cannot provide loaner devices. However, we will attempt to get the device repaired as quickly as possible. Appropriate charges may apply.

Accessing Accounts

ClassLink is the primary way that students access their various accounts.

Students and teachers can access the ClassLink dashboard at https://launchpad.classlink.com/spart2 and log-in with their standard username (do not include @spart2.org) and password.

Students may also use badges to login on devices with cameras.

Web Filtering and Inappropriate Content

We understand that you may have concerns about your child's access to the internet. The district provides web filtering at our schools to greatly decrease the chance your child will access anything inappropriate. Devices all have web filters in place while your child uses the device outside of our network, like at home. However, no web filter is going to be perfect. We also recommend encouraging safe and ethical practices with your child.

Parent Monitoring Tools

These tools allow you to check on your child's progress. Your teacher will provide information to you and your students on which system to use.

  • PowerSchool: general grade information for all students
    • Please contact your child's school for initial setup of your parent account.
  • SeeSaw: Elementary student learning management and information for younger grades.

Parental Controls on Home Wifi

For home use, you may consider using parental controls provided by your internet service provider.

Common Services' Security Solutions

If your Internet service is not listed above, please contact your provider to find instructions for setting up parental controls. Instructions are often found on the provider's website.

In addition, many WiFi routers now come with parental control features. Please see the manufacturer's website for more information on parental control features.
