Free and Reduced Lunch Benefits Information

Food Services

• Children need healthy meals to learn. Spartanburg 2 offers healthy meals every school day.
• Students may qualify for free meals or reduced price meals. In order to see if your student qualifies you will need to complete a Family Application for Free and Reduced Price Meals.
• Applications can be completed electronically or you can obtain a paper application at your student's school or by contacting the Food Services Office at 864-515-5150.
• Paper applications for the 2018-2019 school year will be available after July 1, 2018.
• The link for the electronic application will be available on the district website after July 1, 2018.
• We encourage you to complete the electronic application for faster processing.

Important Information about the Family Application

1. Use only one Family application for all students in your household.
2. Children in households getting SNAP or TANF and most foster children can get free meal regardless of income.
3. Your children can get free meals if your household income is within the free limits of the Federal Guidelines.
4. Homeless, runaway and migrant children may also qualify for free meals.
5. Children in households getting WIC may also be eligible for free or reduced price meals.
6. If you don’t qualify now you may apply later. You can apply at any time during the school year if your household size goes up, income goes down, or if you start getting SNAP, TANF or other benefits. If you lose your Job, your children may be able to get free or reduced price meals.
7. You must include all people living in your house hold on the application.
8. List the income that you normally get. For example, if you normally receive $1000 a month, but you missed some work last month and only got $800, put down you get the $1000 a month.


Active applications from 2017-2018 will be honored for the first 30 days of the 2018-2019 school year but a new application is required each school year before the 30 day period expires.


Payments to your student's lunch account can be made by cash or check at your student's school or by opening a lunch account at www.PayPams.com

PayPams will accept Visa, Master Card, or Discover Credit Cards. PayPams will also accept debit cards with the Visa or Master Card logo. There is a service charge for each transaction.
