Committed 2 Learning

Our Committed-2-Learning Plan is under ongoing review and subject to change.

On February 22, 2022, DHEC notified all school districts of a profound change to COVID protocols as it pertains to contact tracing and quarantines.

Beginning Tuesday, March 1. According to DHEC, if a school (students and faculty/staff combined) has a positive rate of less than 10% for 2 continuous weeks then:

•Schools may suspend Test to Stay and quarantine
•When Test to Stay or quarantine has stopped, contact tracing and
testing and masking of close contacts (in/out of school and household contacts) without symptoms is no
      longer required

The first two week period ends on Feb. 28. Currently, none of our schools are near the 10% threshold. Your school's administration will notify if the threshold is crossed.

Students who test positive will still need to isolate. Students with outlined symptoms will be sent home and can return with a negative test or 5 days after symptoms began. Your school nurse will provide further guidance in these circumstances, and can answer any questions you might have.
